Asclepion
The wealthy city of Pergamon, founded to worship the God of the medicine, Esculapeus, was built near hot springs with baths, theatres and library. Today it ranks among the largest Esculapeaus tempels of the world.

Acropole
This part lain on the hill is surrounded by the current city of Pergamon. Along the ramp one sees the outside parts of the city where once High Schools, markets and housing developments were put on. In the center of the city one sees clearly the roads, water tanks and sketches of the temple plants and the library.
Pergamon is the place, where the parchment paper was invented. In addition the city possessed the second largest library of the antique world, the largest altar of Zeus, which is to be seen today in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.  Further highlights are the steep theatre and the Trajan temple. The red Basilika, once temple for Egyptian Gods, was converted by the Byzantine and served as a church, the Saint John church.
